The High Court of England and Wales found in favour of  a woman’s 12 million claim against the estate of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. Ms Janan Harb had convinced the court  that the King had promised her a life-time of financial support when he secretly  married her 40 years ago. The court ordered  the executor of the King’s estate, Fahd’s son, HRH Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz  to pay her the sum claimed  forthwith.

Harb is also claiming two Chelsea properties but that claim will not be addressed until after the winding-up of the late king’s estate (Janan George Harb v HRH Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, 2015 EWHC 3155 Ch).
